Common AC Problems We Repair in Fayetteville

If your air conditioner isn’t keeping your home comfortable, you’re not alone. We regularly diagnose and repair a wide range of AC issues for homeowners throughout Fayetteville and Fayette County. Some of the most common air conditioning problems we fix include:

AC Blowing Warm Air
Warm air often means the outdoor unit isn’t running, refrigerant levels are low, or a capacitor, contactor, or thermostat issue is preventing proper cooling.
How we fix it: We verify thermostat calls, test capacitors and contactors, check electrical signals, read refrigerant pressures, and measure superheat and subcooling to manufacturer specifications. If the refrigerant is low, we locate and repair the leak, properly evacuate the system, and recharge it to factory specs — no guesswork.

High Indoor Humidity or “Sticky” Air
In Fayetteville’s humid summers, homes can feel clammy when airflow is restricted, refrigerant charge is off, a TXV isn’t operating correctly, or a system is oversized and short-cycling.

How we fix it: We check the blower speed and static pressure, inspect the coils, verify the refrigerant charge and TXV operation, optimize airflow, and recommend dehumidification solutions when needed.

Outdoor Unit Fan Not Spinning
A failed fan capacitor, a bad condenser fan motor, a stuck contactor, or a pressure safety switch issue are common causes.
How we fix it: We perform safe electrical diagnostics, test motor amperage, replace failed components with properly matched parts, and confirm correct condenser airflow and operating pressures.

System Won’t Turn On or Trips the Breaker
Electrical failures such as bad capacitors, seized motors, wiring issues, or failing compressors can cause shutdowns or breaker trips.
How we fix it: We perform electrical testing, replace failed components, tighten connections, verify startup amperage, and install time-delay protection when appropriate to prevent repeat failures.

Water Leaking Around the Air Handler or Furnace
Clogged drain lines usually cause leaks, cracked drain pans, or missing or failed float safety switches.
How we fix it: We clear drains with nitrogen, treat for algae buildup, level or replace drain pans, and install float switches to protect your home from water damage.

Uneven Cooling or Hot and Cold Rooms
Poor airflow, duct leaks, undersized returns, or dirty coils can cause inconsistent temperatures throughout the home.
How we fix it: We inspect ductwork, seal leaks, balance airflow, correct return sizing, and clean coils to restore proper cooling — common fixes in Fayetteville homes with multi-level layouts.

If you’re experiencing any of these air conditioning problems in Fayetteville, our technicians can often diagnose the issue the same day and provide clear repair options.
